This was a 45 minute score event with two courses. The long course had 20 control sites with half on rock features and half on re-entrants. Runners had to collect as many controls as possible in the time allowed, alternating between rock and re-entrant (starting and finishing with either). Each control visited scored 10 points, with a penalty of 10 points per minute for each minute, or part minute, late. 15 minutes or more over the time meant all points would be lost! If you didn't visit rock and re-entrant control sites alternately, or visited the same control more than once - Bah Humbug!!
The second course was also a score, with the same points and penalties, but runners could choose the order in which they visited the control sites.

Many thanks to Raymond and Jenny for once again organising a great antidote to 'festive fatigue', and for giving us a very warm welcome at their home after the event with soup, mince pies and more. Charitable donations were taken for the Great North Air Ambulance.
